Dr. Junhua Zhang is a guest Professor of Political Science at the School of International and Public Affairs of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). At the same time, he is a senior associate of the European Institute for Asian Studies in Brussels, a distinguish expert of the Geopolitical Intelligence Service. He acted as a full professor of SJTU and as director of International Master’s Degree Program of the SJTU, and director the Centre for Israel Studies. He was a senior visiting fellow of the University of Sussex in 2011, a visiting professor of the Hebrew University in 2012 and a visiting professor of the Freie Universit Berlin in 2017. From 2008 to 2012 he acted as a guest editor for the Journal of Historical Sociology based in London.
He received his PhD in philosophy from the J.W. Goethe-University in Germany. Apart from his long-term academic career at the Free University Berlin and Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin in Germany, he has also served as a visiting professor at several universities around the world, including the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada, the University of Moscow, and the Institut Européen des Hautes Etudes Internationales. From 2007 to 2015, he was a member of the Advisory Board and guest professor of the Donube University Krems in Austria.
His research fields are China’s political system, international politics with focus on security policy, climate politics, international political economy and social memory. His recently published book is Israel’s Contemporary Politics and Economy (in Chinese, 2017) by the CASS Publishing House.
Dr. Junhua Zhang speaks English, German and Russian. He is fond of Chinese traditional music.
张俊华博士是我院国际政治学系客座教授。同时，他是在布鲁塞尔的全欧亚州研究院的高级研究员，«地域政治情报分析»的特邀专家。他曾是国际硕士项目的主任，交大以色列研究中心的主任。过去几年，他当过英国Sussex大学的访问学者 （2011年），以色列希伯莱大学的访问教授 （2012年），柏林自由大学访问教授（2017年）。 2008至2012年间，他受历史社会学杂志（Journal of Historical Sociology）之邀担任客座编辑，负责出版“社会记忆研究专辑“（2012年6月出版）。
