现任上海交通大学国际与公共事务学院长聘教授，研究领域涵盖国际组织、军事联盟、领土争端、大国竞争及外交政策民意分析。她于2006年获得罗切斯特大学政治学博士学位；2005年至2009年任教于明尼苏达大学，2009年至2025年任教于莱斯大学。曾为普林斯顿大学尼豪斯全球化与治理研究中心及斯坦福大学胡佛研究所访问学者。其研究成果发表于《美国政治学杂志》《国际组织》《政治学杂志》《英国政治学杂志》及《中国国际政治杂志》等期刊。此外，她还曾或正在担任《美国政治学评论》《国际组织》与《中国国际政治杂志》等权威期刊的编委。
